Life isn’t easy. It can be repetitively brutal, arduously unfair, and ridiculously confusing. Nonetheless, there are miracles in every moment. I believe in miracles. I have seen them occur in my life and the lives of others. When I was a younger woman I had become ill and was heading into a potentially life-ending surgery. The doctors told my family that IF I survived, I’d most likely be in a vegetative state forever. Miracles happen.
One of the many things I learned from that experience is that no matter what happens you will be okay. How? The answer is simple; because, you are first and foremost a soul and a body second. Your soul animates your life with or without your belief, acknowledgement, or focus.
The recognition that you are a soul is a huge leap in consciousness. This is an enormous step in the process of your spiritual evolution and should never be considered anything less than a miracle. If you have passed through this stage of awareness, never forget what it was like to make that leap and wake up to that aspect of your self that is larger and more infinite than your personality, ego, or personal pain. Within that particular process of awakening, therein lies a secret—your first awakened moment. Once that bridge is crossed, you can never again retreat to being asleep. You will never forget that you are a soul. Remembering and believing are different perceptions.
Your next task is to connect, more fluidly, with your soul and begin to understand its symbolic and literal language, its voice, and capacity for acquiring information and wisdom. The process of connecting with and integrating the wisdom of your soul is a 24/7 process of awareness. It’s so much more than a book, a workshop, therapy, or a spiritual practice; although, these are catalysts. So, too, is a lingering curious gaze at a flower or challenging yourself physically or mentally. All are tools for your awakening in which you find a sense of presence and spaciousness. Wherein, you can clearly hear the voice of your soul.
I invite you to explore this process in whichever way calls to you. For it is in the answering of your spirit’s call that you find your path. With the awareness of ‘the path’ this, in turn, creates turnstile moments of wakefulness. Soon enough you realize that you are the path, not simply walking upon it. It is the journey…be the path.
Once, during an early morning meditation I heard pearls from my soul and I would like to share them with you. I hope it offers direction and compassionate support. It serves well in times of troubled waters.

For when you stand on the rim of your own ego, and face the attendant chaos
you illuminate your soul.”
